Irma Installation

Hardware Requirements
Irma can consume both memory and disk space, and can prove overly taxing on machines not up to the task. For best results, Irma servers should meet the minimum set of requirements. Irma's performance will be noticeably hampered when provided inadequate resources.

• Minimum hardware recommendations:
  • 512 megabytes memory
  • 500 megabytes free disk space
• Recommended hardware – for top performance:
  • 2 gigabytes memory
  • 2 gigabytes free disk space

The PixarIrma Service Key
The pixarIrma service key indicates which servers (which slots) are capable of running the new Irma rerenderer. Machines able to handle Irma should have the new service key, as shown in the illustration below.
